French progressive metal unit Hypno5e have premiered a new track from their upcoming album, Shores of the Abstract Line, at Metal Sucks. Titled “East Shore – In Our Deaf Lands”, the nearly 13-minute track combines complex, groove heavy metallic attacks with lengthy sections of sprawling cinematics and post-rock sensibilities. Shores of the Abstract Line will be released on February 19 via Pelagic Records.

Texas progressive death metal outfit Fall have announced the release of their debut full-length record. The new record will be titled The Insatiable Weakness and will be released on January 22 through the band themselves. The album was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Robert Beltran at Precision Studios and will feature session drumming from Soilwork’s Dirk Verbeuren. The album’s artwork and track listing can be found after the break along with a stream of two new tracks, “Harvester” and “Soul Ignition”.
UK-based progressive metal outfit Latitudes have announced the release of their third full-length album and follow-up to 2012’s Individuation. The new record will be titled Old Sunlight (artwork above) and will be released on January 22 via Debemur Morti Productions. The album was produced by Chris Fielding (Primordial, Electric Wizard, etc) and was mastered by James Plotkin (Isis, Jesu, etc). The aggressive, proggy new project called Moon Tooth will release their debut album Chromaparagon in February. Connecticut progressive metal outfit Earthside have premiered their upcoming full-length, A Dream in Static, at MetalHammer. The album will officially be released on October 23 can be purchased here. A Dream in Static combines modern progressive metal nuances with elements of post-metal and pop arrangements and features guest contributions from The Moscow Studio Symphony Orchestra, Daniel Tompkins (TesseracT, ex-Skyharbor), Lajon Witherspoon (Sevendust) among others. Haunted Shores, which is made up of Periphery‘s Misha Mansoor and Mark Holcomb, released a track off of their debut release over the weekend. The track is titled “Norway Jose” and it’s fucking phenomenal. The band is a little heavier than Periphery with orchestral vocals laid under the music. It’s really rad.
