French noise rockers Sofy Major have premiered their forthcoming full-length, Waste, at New Noise. The album will officially be released this Friday, October 30 via Solar Flare Records and can be picked up at this location. Waste is full of grimy, sludgy noise rock goodness that fans of Unsane, Coliseum and the like can bang their heads to. Stream the album after the break.
Earlier this year noise rockers Cherubs released their first album in 20 years and it was phenomenal. The band has just released a new single titled “Fist In The Air” as a follow-up. It’s a really killer song that anyone dabbling in stonery noise rock will dig. Maybe you’re an old school Cherubs fan or maybe you’re new to the band. Either way, this song crushes. Stream “Fist In The Air” below. Continue reading

Personally, this is my least favorite type of video, but I love Sofy, so I’ll let it go. Continue reading

Leave it to Melvins to release an EP longer than most LPs. Clocking in at forty minutes, Beer Hippy is the new 10″ from the fuzz kingpins and it sounds fucking rad. Melvins don’t do bad, so I guess this was to be expected, though. Lane and I had no idea this was happening, but we are both stoked to get new tunes from these legends. Stream the Beer Hippy EP below. Continue reading
Man, we love Pigs here on AA. This band is absolutely fantastic and the same can be said for their new record Wronger. If you’re unaware or looking to be impressed, now is the time for your education. Pigs will release Wronger on Friday, but you can hear the album in full right now. All you have to do is click on over after the jump and let the noise rock take you. Continue reading
Now, I’ve seen fighting in music videos before, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen the front man of a band take actual punches in a video. Not a music video anyway. In KEN Mode‘s latest video, for their song “These Tight Jeans”, Jesse Matthewson takes on another fighter and engages in actual Muay Thai. The video is really rad and it seriously makes me want to watch Warrior. Watch the video below and tell me you don’t want some Tom Hardy all over your screen. Continue reading
Seattle noise makers Great Falls (Ex-Kiss It Goodbye, Playing Enemy, Jesu, etc) are set to release their new devastating full-length, The Fever Shed, this Fall on Init Records. The follow-up to 2014’s Accidents Grotesque is a dark and disorienting affair in which mathcore, noise rock and abstract metal blend together to create a menacing, heart-stopping sound. We here at American Aftermath are excited to bring you a taste of what is to come with the album’s fourth, crushing track, “A Gathering in the Head”. This six minute beast stomps about with huge, dissonant, grimy riffs that will break your limbs and drag your limp body through ear-splitting walls of noise. Subject yourself to some good ol’ auditory abuse after the break.
Feel free to stream the album’s opening track, “Dressing The Saints”, below as well.
Fight Amp are still fresh off of their stunningly rad new album Constantly Off and a new 7″ but nothing is going to slow these dudes down. The band has just release a new music video for one of my favorite tracks off of Constantly Off, “Happy Joyful Life.” Click on over after the jump and let this shit command you. Rad video, check it. Said new record is titled Wronger and it is due to drop early next month. Pigs have unleashed a new track titled “Amateur Hour In Dick City” for all to enjoy. It’s a beast. Enjoy. Continue reading
