OLD WOUNDS Streaming New Track “On Leather Wings”

Hardcore heathens and homies here on AA, Old Wounds are closing in on the release date for their new record The Suffering Spirit. To keep anticipation high, the band has released one hell of a track. This is standing right now as my favorite track off of the album and it’s called “On Leather Wings.” This song will grind you down and keep pounding. It is fucking relentless. NATHAN GRAY Streaming New Track “Wolves”

Nathan Gray might not be a household name, but he has a strong background in music. I know the dude from Boysetsfire and a bit from his work with I Am Heresy. He has taken on a solo career and his music is just wonderful. I don’t often quote from the press releases I get, but this one I have to. Nathan‘s music on his debut EP NTHN GRY is described as “Satanic post-industrial pop” and that is spot-on. It’s so odd, but it is mesmerizing. I love it. Check out the first track off of the EP below. The track is titled “Wolves” and it’s a great introduction to the “card-carrying Satanist” Nathan‘s sound.     

BLAZE OF PERDITION Streaming New Album “Near Death Revelations”

Polish enigmatic black metal outfit Blaze of Perdition have premiered their forthcoming record, Near Death Revelations, over at Decibel. The record will officially be released this Friday, June 26, via Agonia Records. Pre-orders can still be placed at this location. The album is a furious slab of black metal that was birthed in the most treacherous pit of Hell and will appease any fan of Valkyrja, Deathspell Omega and the like. PUTRIDITY Streaming New Track “Portraits Of A Soiled Innocence”

Italian brutal death metallers Putridity have released a new track from their forthcoming album, Ignominious Atonement, which is due out on August 18 via Willowtip Records. The new track is titled “Portraits of a Soiled Innocence” and it features a relentless barrage of gore-splattered, murderous riffs and sadistic drumming, not to mention horrifyingly vile vocals. HATEBEAK Streaming New Track “Pecking Crew”

Parrot-fronted grindcore outfit Hatebeak (Pig Destroyer, The Index) have premiered a new track from their forthcoming album, The Number of the Beak, over at Noisey. The new track, titled “Pecking Crew”, rips out raw, angular and grinding riffs that are soaked in hellacious death metal nuances. Oh, and there’s an African Grey parrot screeching at you the entire time. Check out the quirky track after the break.

Philadelphian post-metal astronauts Rosetta have released their fifth full-length album and follow-up to 2013’s The Anaesthete, Quintessential Ephemera, with a “name your price” download option over on their Bandcamp. Those seeking the physical formats can find them at Golden Antenna, Init Records and War Crime Recordings. This expansive and emotive release will more than likely appear on many “Best Of” lists this year. New York’s infamous hardcore act All Out War have premiered their new EP, Dying Gods, over at CVLT Nation. The EP is officially out today via Organized Crime Records and can be purchased at this location. If you like your hardcore with a healthy dose of blistering groove metal and scathing breakdowns, then you do not want to miss out on this release. JASON W. WALTON (AGALLOCH) Streaming New Track “Yakshi”

Agalloch/Self Spiller’s Jason W. Walton has premiered the second track to his new 7″ solo release, Mara, over at Decibel. The new track is the unsettling, droning “Yakshi”, which sounds as if you are trapped inside a pitch black abyss in which unseen, inhuman organisms are flying around you waiting for their chance to strike. Obsequiae‘s Tanner Anderson lends his throat-searing vocals to the track, only driving it further into frightening territory. Walton offered the following comments on the track:

“I wrote the Mara EP as a way to process and document my episodes with sleep paralysis…’Yakshi’ is the second and final track of Mara, and deals with the terror and helplessness one experiences when in the throes of sleep paralysis. In this state, your mind is awake, yet your body is paralyzed. Your cries of desperation travel no further than your own head and are obscured by the buzzing waves of darkness. ‘Yakshi’ encapsulates this experience and gives me surges of anxiety each time I listen.”

KHEMMIS Streaming New Track “Ash, Cinder, Smoke”

Denver doom quartet Khemmis have premiered a new track from their forthcoming album, Absolution, over at No Clean Singing. The new track is the nearly seven-minute “Ash, Cinder, Smoke” that stomps about like Polyphemus with its bellowing, fuzz-laden doom riffs and its undeniable sense of melody. Primitive Man‘s Ethan McCarthy lends his voice to the song’s later moments as well. Stream the track for yourself after the break.
