Interstellar post-metal outfit Rosetta have premiered a new track from their upcoming album, Quintessential Ephemera, over at Metal Sucks. The new track, titled “Untitled III”, cycles between driving chord progressions and atmospheric, post-rock-esque sections. The song is awash with brilliant melodies and builds up to a thunderous climax that is nothing short of powerful. The band offered the following comments regarding the track:
This song got built up around Dave’s smooth arpeggio bass line, which we all agreed sounded like Young Team-era Mogwai. This is the first track in Rosetta history where every member got a real vocal credit — that choral section at the end is Dave, Eric, Matt, and BJ all singing harmonies.
Check out the track after the break.
